The rules we follow

Under Article 158, points 6 and 7, of Law No. 54/2024 "On electronic communications in the Republic of Albania", we store or read information on your device only with your consent, except where it is strictly necessary for the service you ask for. For visitors in the European Union the same rule comes from the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and the GDPR.

The site is operated by Magus Group Albania shpk; the privacy policy explains how the data behind these cookies is handled.

Necessary (always on, no consent needed)

• whois-mania-session (Whois Mania): keeps your visit together, including the lookups you opened. Ends 2 hours after your last visit.
• XSRF-TOKEN (Whois Mania): protects the search form against forged requests. Ends 2 hours after your last visit.
• lang (Whois Mania): remembers the language you chose. 1 year.
• wm_consent (Whois Mania): remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so the banner does not ask on every page. 180 days.

Analytics (only if you accept)

• _ga and _ga_B7X40YWX74 (Google Analytics 4, Google Ireland Limited): tell visits apart and count pages, so we see which parts of the site are used. 2 years. Google's privacy policy.
• _clck (Microsoft Clarity, Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited): recognises a returning browser. 1 year.
• _clsk (Microsoft Clarity): joins the pages of one visit into one recording. 1 day.
• Clarity may also set CLID and MUID on its own domain (clarity.ms) to recognise the same browser across sites that use Clarity. 1 year. Microsoft's privacy statement.

Marketing

None. Whois Mania shows no advertising and sets no advertising cookies. Should that ever change, they would be listed here first and asked for in the banner.

How to give or change your choice

• The banner on your first visit asks; "Accept" and "Reject" are equally easy, and lookups work the same either way.
• "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page opens the banner again. Rejecting after accepting stops the analytics at once and deletes their cookies from this site.
• You can also delete or block cookies in your browser's settings. Blocking the necessary ones can stop the search form from working.
